Evidence-informed education for healthy adults · Not medical advice.

Muslex Editorial

Performance education — not medical advice. Stop and seek professional care if you have sharp pain, dizziness, chest pain, or unexplained symptoms.

Muslex Editorial is the site-wide byline for Muslex guides, pillars, and calculators. This page explains who publishes, how we source evidence, and why we stay inside training performance education — not medical care.

Who writes here

Muslex Editorial is a collective education desk. We do not publish fabricated individual clinical licences or unverifiable personal coaching résumés. Pages are written and reviewed against open literature and consensus-style guidance for generally healthy adults who want clearer decisions on program structure, progressive overload, recovery habits, sleep for performance, and conventional sports nutrition literacy.

The desk is a collective byline, not a clinic and not a placeholder celebrity coach with invented credentials. Individual named author pages appear only when certificates or licenses can be checked independently.

Editorial methodology

Every educational page is expected to pass the same pipeline:

  1. Frame the question as a training-performance decision (what to do next week), not a diagnosis.
  2. Pull primary or consensus sources first — peer-reviewed reviews, ACSM / ISSN position materials, and government health education pages when safety context matters.
  3. Translate into coaching language with ranges, trade-offs, and missed-day logistics — not absolutist “one true program” claims.
  4. Add a safety boundary: who the page assumes (generally healthy adults), when to stop, and what Muslex will not cover (injury rehab prescriptions; prescription or non-conventional pharmacology outside our scope).
  5. Human final review before publish: claims match linked sources; calculators stay labeled as estimates; disclaimer strip remains visible on Soft YMYL pages.

Flagship pillar pages (Training, Muscles, Load, Recovery, Sleep, Nutrition) carry a References list with at least five clickable primary sources. Guides follow the same citation habit with topic-appropriate density.

Evidence hierarchy

Prefer Examples Use for
Primary / consensus PubMed-indexed reviews & trials; ACSM / JISSN position stands; NIH ODS; CDC / NHS / NHLBI / health.gov consumer pages Dose ranges, frequency, safety context, “what the literature roughly says”
Secondary summaries High-quality evidence libraries Orientation only — not a substitute for linking a primary source on flagship claims
Avoid as sole proof Marketing blogs, anonymous forums, unsourced “studies show” Never the only citation behind a number

We do not invent DOIs. If a number appears (sets per week, protein g/kg, sleep hours), readers should find a clickable path toward a checkable source on that page or its pillar hub.

Review & update policy

Educational pages show a visible line:

By Muslex Editorial · Reviewed YYYY-MM-DD · Updated YYYY-MM-DD

  • Reviewed = editorial pass against scope, safety boundary, and citation hygiene.
  • Updated = last substantive content change (text, tables, references, or calculator logic notes).
  • Schema dateModified / datePublished and the footer “Last updated” line are kept aligned with the visible dates.
  • We do not bump dates without a real edit. Cosmetic whitespace alone is not an “update.”

This page: Reviewed 2026-07-22 · Updated 2026-07-22 (methodology expansion for the sprint90 trust pass).

AI-assisted drafting

Drafting tools may help outline or expand educational prose. A human editor is responsible for final wording, citation checks, and safety-boundary language before a page goes live. AI output is never treated as a clinical authority.

Credentials policy

No fabricated certificates. Muslex does not invent CPT, RD, MD, CSCS, UKSCA, or similar credentials for a placeholder person. We also do not imply medical licensure through schema tricks (no MedicalWebPage, no disease-treatment markup).

When a contributor has checkable credentials, that person receives a dedicated author page with verifiable details (credential abbreviation, issuing body, and year when available). Until then, bylines stay with Muslex Editorial.

Scope boundary

Writes on training performance education for generally healthy adults. Does not provide medical care, injury rehabilitation protocols, prescription-drug guidance, or disease diet therapy. Readers with pain, illness, medication questions, or post-injury issues should consult a qualified clinician. Full category disclaimer: Disclaimer.
